The Carnegie Library construction continues into the fall, with the most recent development being the installation of a new wood trim into the back of the building.
The installation is described by Ivan Carrasquillo, Director of FM Services for The Facilities Management Group, as bringing a clean look to the exterior while appearing exactly as it has been before.
Work to restore the historic building, a $1.5 million project, is ongoing with the goal of turning the structure into the new home for Patchogue-Medford Library’s Young Adult department. The building, located on the corner of W. Main St. and West Ave., is currently slated to open around Jan. 2016.
