We are updating our practices as more information on COVID-19 becomes available. Today, the Library is open. This may need to change based on recommendations from local public health officials, and we will update this website and our phone system if things change.
As of Saturday, March 14, we are canceling any large scale programs and any programs for seniors, who are most vulnerable to this virus. All registrants will be contacted and programs will be rescheduled at a later date if possible. We may need to cancel more programs next week, but we will keep you informed should we do so.
In addition, we are reaching out to organizations that use our Library for community meetings to see if these can be postponed or rescheduled . Please call the Library to find out the latest info before you come.
All other library services will continue. Our staff is dedicated to serving the public. At this point in time, the library’s main concern is keeping our patrons and staff safe. Please continue to check in with the CDC and Suffolk County Department of Health for up to date information and recommendations. Please call the Director of the Library with any concerns: 631-654-4700 x300.
