Borrow, Grow, and Return!
Our Seed Library is About...
Encouraging our community to dig in and garden
Reconnecting our community to the traditions of growing tasty, healthy food
Educating our community about growing, harvesting, and saving seeds
This Year's Growing Challenge:

There are plenty of seeds included in our regular seed library that can be grown and used to make fantastic ice cream flavors.
Get the recipe on our Seed Library page to experiment with different herbs. Simply substitute the mint leaves with your chosen herb, steeping it in the heated Half & Half as instructed in the original recipe and get creative!
Get Out in Nature!

The Patchogue-Medford Library is committed to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting environmental stewardship at all levels of our organization. Our goal is to minimize our organizations impact and maximize future generations ability to live, work, and play in our shared natural environment.
Recycle at the Library
If you have any batteries, cell phones, pens, empty glue sticks, or mechanical pencils that no longer work, you can drop them off at the Library! Recycling boxes can be found in the Main Building’s side entranceway.
