Elizabeth (Betsy) Ambrosio Kennedy
From the Summer Reading Program as a child, to the countless college papers I wrote using the reference section, to now bringing my nine year old son to classes, the library has always been an important institution in
my life! The comfort I have felt in the library amongst the books played a huge part in my decision to become an English teacher as well, something I have done for 15 years and counting at Brentwood High School. And
yes, I currently try to bring my students to the school library as much as possible!
For the past five years, I have found such joy and satisfaction from being
on the Library Board. Seeing all the wonderful and enriching experiences
that the Patchogue-Medford Library staff do to help the community has
been inspiring. Also, getting to play a part in furthering the mission of the
Library as much as I can has been one of the highlights of my life. I hope to
be given the opportunity to continue serving on the Board and helping the Library grow in all its future endeavors.
The Library Trustee vote will take place by way of absentee ballot, in collaboration with the Patchogue Medford School District vote. Please look for the Library Trustee box on the ballot and don’t forget to sign the back so that the ballot will be valid.
