As a librarian, you tend to get surprised every once in a while by what you think your own family members should know but they don’t. While sometimes that know-it-all side of me comes out at the wrong times, I do try to gloss it over with a smile.
My cousin (a 27- year- old with a BS in Sociology) sends me a text while I’m at work using a number of choice words about technology and its uselessness. While I refuse to repeat her exact words the gist was that she was trying to download a book from Live-brary and couldn’t get it to work.
I explained to her that she needed to download the app matching her device otherwise it wouldn’t work. Live-brary is where the books are but you need to download the free Overdrive app to open the books. After helping her download and open her book on her device I started babbling about other services found in Live-brary.
This got me wondering if people know about the wonders of Live-Brary. Live-brary has so much to offer! Did you know you can use it to download books, find articles, homework help, research and more?
