On display in the Claire Davidson Siegel Gallery is Auxiliary Constructions, a group exhibition featuring the work of Carole Amodeo, Jennifer DeMory, Nicholas DePaolo, Francesca Finno, Tre Pyne, Thomas Sarc, Cheryl Steinhauer, and Robert Stenze. The exhibition is presented by The Patchogue Arts Council – Museum of Contemporary Art L.I. and curated by their summer interns Paige Kelly, Alyssa Kolakowski, and Claire Blakeley.
Auxiliary Constructions explores escapism as a means of navigating the pressures and stresses of everyday life.Through animals, imagined worlds, abstraction, and other departures from the familiar, the works in Auxiliary Constructions invite viewers into spaces shaped by fantasy, imagination, and possibility. Each artist constructs an alternative way of seeing—offering moments in which reality can be reconsidered, expanded, or temporarily left behind.
