ARCHIVED 2021: Impressions of Nature: Nancy DiSanto

    ARCHIVED 2021:

    Impressions of Nature: Nancy DiSanto

THIS EXHIBIT WAS ON VIEW AT THE PATCHOGUE-MEDFORD LIBRARY IN JULY – AUGUST 2021

The Patchogue-Medford Library is pleased to host the solo exhibition, Impressions of Nature, featuring the artwork of Nancy DiSanto. The exhibition presents a number of paintings and drawings inspired by nature. The artist’s appreciation towards the subject reminds us of the transient qualities we see in all things existing in everyday life, including the weather, our surroundings, animals, and other humans. These passing qualities are momentary glimpses into the subject matter that captures the essential, illusive qualities of change, growth, and development.

Nancy DiSanto is a local artist from Medford, NY. Her journey towards becoming an artist began after a long, successful career of working with special needs children. DiSanto has always had an appreciation for the arts and has studied watercolor painting and drawing with local artists, Paul Padovano and Lynn Kinsella respectively. She is a member of the Long Island Watercolorists group and has exhibited her artwork across Long Island. This is the artist’s first solo exhibition.

The Claire Davidson Siegel Gallery is an exhibition space in the Patchogue-Medford Library dedicated to exhibiting the artwork of Long Island-based artists and arts organizations. Exhibitions are coordinated by independent curator and art historian, Jay Schuck. If you are interested in exhibiting your artwork in the gallery, we invite you submit an exhibition proposal.
