    Khurshid Saleem: Art Matters

    Presented by the Patchogue Arts Council

    April 29 – June 29, 2022 || Reception : Wednesday, June 29, from 7:00 - 8:00 PM

    The Patchogue-Medford Library is pleased to host the exhibition, Art Matters, featuring the artist Khurshid Saleem and presented by the Patchogue Arts Council. According to the artist, Art Matters is a series of abstract expressionistic works in which he illustrates colors and forms inspired by the world around him. In nature, the artist seeks out rhythm and carefully constructed sequences that provide him with a feeling of pleasure. Saleem states that “art for me – like nature itself – is a source of hope and inspiration.”

    About Khurshid Saleem
    Khursid Saleem is a fine artist based in Central Islip, NY. He received his BA from the Institute of Fine Art, Dhaka University in Bangladesh and has also studied at New York University in New York. He in an internationally acclaimed artist and was invited to the 2008 Beijing Olympics in which he received a Gold Medal. He has also received Congressional Recognition in 2010 and an UNESCO Award in 2013. Saleem’s artwork has been exhibited around the world with select exhibitions at the Japan National Art Center in Tokyo, Japan, National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi, India, and Natural History Museum in Crete, Greece.
