What is it?
Embrace your inner nerd and come celebrate the wonderful world of fandoms at the Main Branch in Patchogue! Pop Con is a Comic-Con-style event, that brings the feel of a large-scale event to a small-town library setting. This event is geared towards adults.
Pop Con also features an Artist’s Alley, Cosplay Contests, Costumed Guests, Gaming, Food Trucks and more!

Let's Go Gamers
Play from our collection of board games or hop on a computer and do some retro gaming! We have arcade cabinets available to play as well as a Playstation Classic. Come discover and play your next favorite game!
Trading Card Wall
Take a card and Leave a card. Trade Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, K Pop Photo Cards, and more at our Trading Card Wall.
Costume Contest
Dress up as your favorite character and participate in our costume contest! Make sure to check in with a staff member the day of Pop Con to register for the contest.
Photo Ops
Take photos in our Barbie Box or using our Green Screen or simply with a character you run into at the event!
Scavenger Hunt
Participate in our library-wide, Pokémon scavenger hunt for a chance to win amazing prize baskets!

Video Game Music Jams Long Island
VGM Jams LI is a collective of musicians and gamers in the Long Island/New York area who share a passion for the music within our favorite video games. Enjoy live music from iconic video games including and not limited to Super Mario, Pokemon, Chrono Trigger, Sonic, Minecraft, and more. performed the VGM Jams Long Island performers.
Upgrade your Cosplay Panel
Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, learn tips and tricks for creating a unique and affordable cosplays. Professional cosplayers Rizuki and TAFKAR Design will discuss how to get make your own costume and even how to use the library’s services to your advantage including 3D modeling, sewing, engraving, printing, & more!

The library’s meeting rooms A&B are filled with games including two arcade cabinets, plenty of board games for you learn and play with friends, and some computers set up with old school games to play.
