Now on display is Devine Instincts, a solo exhibition featuring the work of Lindsay Lange. According to the artist, Lange utilizes portraiture, specifically of women and animals, to evoke an emotional response from her audience. She particularly aims to illuminate the struggles faced by women in regards to their sexuality as well as their mental and emotional health. Lange believes that feelings can be expressed through body language, which can also compliment her subjects and bring these concerns to the forefront of her work.
About the Artist
Lindsay Lange is a mixed media artist and muralist from Long Island, NY. She earned a BS in Business Administration from SUNY College at Old Westbury and has participated in various exhibitions across Long Island, Brooklyn and New York City. She has extensive experience as a muralist and has designed and installed numerous murals, commercially and residentially, throughout Nassau and Suffolk.
