Women Sharing Art, Inc. Embraces Women’s History Month All March Long

For the month of March, we are celebrating Women’s History Month with a group exhibit by Women Sharing Art, Inc. Titled Women Sharing Art, Inc. Embraces Women’s History Month, the display features paintings, photos, mosaics and more from 15 members of the all women’s art organization. Artists on exhibit are: Tova Abrams, Victoria Beckert, Mirielle Belajonas, Sheri Berman, Pat D’Aversa, Doris Diamond, Janene Gentile, Kathie Gerlach, Gabriella Grama, Margaret Henning, Libby Hintz, Sue Miller, Kay O’Keefe, Dee O’Shea, Eileen Palmer and Linda Purrazzella.

Autumn Scenes from the South Bay Art Association Now on View

Why wait for the leaves to change colors when you can see some fall-inspired artwork in the library?

On view in the Lower Lobby Gallery is Autumn Vistas, a juried group art show featuring select members of the South Bay Art Association (SBAA). The art on display depict scenes of autumn, captured in a variety of artistic mediums and styles.

The exhibition features artwork from the following artists: Diana Aliberti, Anne T. Baum, Fred Baumbach, Teresa Cromwell, Kystle L. DiNicola, Marion DiNicola, Lorraine M. Fosmire, Amy Fox-Bisagni, Bill Kuchler, Jeff Macholz, Rosanne O’Reilly, Paul Padavano, Jeanne Rogers, Will Ryder, Gisela Skoglund, Pat Sweeney, Joan Tavolott, Sharon way-Howard, Marie Wern, and Mary White.

Grammy-winning Photographer Rowland Scherman Exhibits Iconic Photographs from the 60s

What do John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Martin Luther King Jr., and Bobby Kennedy all have in common? Rowland Scherman of course!

Now on view at the Patchogue-Medford Library is a series of political photographs by Grammy-winning photographer Rowland Scherman. The exhibition, titled Lens on the Later 60sfeatures ten photographs depicting political and cultural icons from the 1960s. Additionally, the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts is hosting the exhibition Sounds on the Sixties, featuring the artist’s musical photography. The photos capture the political and social climate of the time. Both exhibitions are presented by the Patchogue Arts Council and are a part of the organization’s Summer of Love 1967-2017.
